Free Standing GRP Electricty Meter Box – Green
A strong Electric Meter Box is made out of thick insulating fire resistant and self-extinguishing composite GRP (glass fibre reinforced polyester) mounted with pedestal (stand) into ground as a freestanding Electricity Meter Box.
It is designed for Commercial and Domestic usage and it characterizes with high resistance to atmospheric agents (UV), mechanical damages and acts of vandalism. The GRP Cabinet door has a three point lock fitted with very durable hinges, which prevent the Cabinet from damage and attempts at tampering and energy theft. The ventilation system minimizes the gathering of damp. Removable doors give more access to the cabinet and make it easier to install.
The Pedestal allows a quick and easy installation without any need for cement or concrete. Parts of the pedestal are removable without the need to use tools, which allows an easy introduction of cables into the installed junction. Specially designed construction of the cabinet in connection with additional elements ensures fast and comfortable assembly of equipment.

Delivery
Is delivery included / free? Yes, delivery is included in the price of the item. Excludes Northern Ireland, Channel/Offshore Islands & Scottish Highlands – which is additional charge depending on location.
What is the delivery time? Overnight workday delivery (Delivery between 9:00am – 5:00pm).
If I order today, when will I get it? The cut-off for next working day delivery is 11am, as example – if order is placed on before 11am on Monday, you will get the item on Tuesday. But if order is placed after 11am on Monday, the item/s will be dispatched on Tuesday for estimated arrival of Wednesday. (BACS order only sent after payment confirmation).
If I order on the weekend, when will I get it? The order will be dispatched on following Monday for estimated arrival of Tuesday.
Who deliveries my order? DX Freight.
Does my area effect delivery? All U.K. mainland areas are next working day delivery. Excludes Northern Ireland, Channel Islands & Scottish Highlands – which are three-working days.
Is there tracking? Yes, there is updated tracking. We send tracking information after dispatch - my.dxdelivery.com.
What is the delivery time? The delivery window is 09:00am to 05:00pm, we can not provide any precise delivery time than that.

Can I collect? Yes, but only after purchase and we will have to be informed of intent. We would also need an estimated time of collection to give us time to assemble the product/s. Typically, the item will not be able to collect until the next working day.
FAQs
Is this for single-phase or three-phase? It will depend on your electric supply and the minimum specification your electric supplier states.
What is an IP rating? IP54 (5 - Protected against dust limited ingress, no harmful deposits. 4 - Protected against water splashed from all directions, limited ingress permitted. (Water-resistant not waterproof).
What does GRP mean? Glass Reinforced Plastic.
Do you sell metal? No, only GRP.
What colours do you sell? Light Grey (RAL 7035) or Green (RAL 7035).
Why is there a difference in price between the Light Grey and Green? Green is more expensive to cover cost of painting and labour.
What sizes do you do? We have large range of size ranging from W260 x H400 x D245 to W1060 x H1064 x D320. Please find complete size list in ‘Products’ section.
Do you do bespoke / custom products? No, we only sell set sized products.
Do the products come assemble? Yes, all items will come assemble and package.
Does it come with mounting plate? Yes, plywood mounting plate comes inside.
How do I mount my GRP box? Refer to your electrical supplier / electrical for guidance. But for basic idea – mount to concreate pad / plinth or to concreate wall.
Does it come will cut-outs / drill holes? No, you must make any cut-outs / drill holes yourself.
Can it be mounted to wall and do a need mounting kit? Yes, it can be mounted to wall, please drill in back plate of GRP enclosure; not the plywood plate inside. You can secure the enclosure straight to flat surface of wall without need of mounting kit.
Do you sell electrical hockey stick? No.
Where are you located? Unit 2B, Strode Business Centre, Huxley Cl, Plympton, Plymouth PL7 4JN.
How do I open the enclosure? You unlock with key first, pull from the bottom of the handle towards yourself, then turn to the right.
Can I buy replacement keys / handles? Yes, in our ‘Accessories’ section ‘Buy Online’.
Do you do trade discount? Yes, but only to electrical wholesalers or multi-item order.
Do you do trade accounts? No, only trade discount direct purchase through proforma invoice or telephone payment.
What payment method do you accept? BACS / PayPal through website order or Card Payment through telephone payment (01752 426356 – 9:00am to 4:30pm). We do not accept American Express.
Can I get Quote or Proforma invoice? Yes, please send request or purchase order with billing and shipping information to info@meterboxesuk.co.uk.
Do you send VAT invoices? Yes, we send VAT invoices to all orders after dispatch. They are sent to stated billing email address from a order along with tracking information.
I have not received my VAT invoice after receiving the item? Please email info@meterboxesuk.co.uk with order information to request a VAT invoice.
Where do the products come from? They are all assembled in Plymouth, U.K.
How do I return an unwanted item? Returns can be accepted within 14 days of purchase. We please ask you to inform us of this with an email of ‘intent of return’ (details of the order, reason for the return and any additional information).
